The Cloak Review was created to promote the use of suspense and tension in literary works of fiction and nonfiction, as well as its representation in art, poetry and photography. Creating conflict, disguising the inevitable, and exploring basic human fears and emotions are very important to any story, which is why this journal seeks to highlight these qualities in storytelling. A narrative can be depicted through many mediums, but the Cloak Review focuses on photography, writing, and art, for all of these can contain the best and most basic elements of story.
